If you are using Access 2000, 2002 or 2003, you can simply install the free Access 2007 or Access 2010 runtime files available from Microsoft. There are links to these on our other software page. After the installation is completed, open Access Anaesthetics in the usual way and the newer version of Microsoft Access will be opened.

If you are using Access 97 or the 97 runtime, there are a couple of additional steps.

First, install the 2007 or 2010 runtime file as described above.
Second, download and install the AA program update from this link on our website. This will install the AA2000.mde program file. Contact us for the installation password.
Third, adjust your Start menu and desktop shortcuts to open the file AA2000.mde instead of AA97.mde. Details are give here.
After upgrading, run the Maintenance > Web Update function to obtain the latest program update.

The Access 2007 and 2010 runtime files provide the same functionality. The 2010 file is much larger (200MB) than the 2007 file (50MB).
