Surgeon, Hospital & Operation Labels |

For each of these fields, a designation may be stored in the lookup table. For example, Dr Smith may be a Surgeon, but Dr Jones may be a gastroenterologist. The appropriate designation will be automatically inserted as the field label when a particular surgeon is selected. All are initially designated 'Surgeon'.
The 'Surgeon' label can still be edited manually by selecting from the list box.
A new shortcut has been included to allow easily specifying a designation which is different to the stored one. E.G. enter ZS/G in the surgeon field - get Dr Zachary Smith as the surgeon and Gastroenterologist as the label (instead of surgeon). For this to work, you must enter a one character code into the Notes field in the lookup form for the surgeon, hospital or operation label.
The above features also work for the Hospital and Operation fields.
The Hospital lookup table now includes a Provider number field which can optionally be included on the account. This is to allow easy insertion of the hospital's Provider number when required by a payer such as a health fund. |
