ITEM TEMPLATES

A list of items may be saved as a template to be used for other accounts. This will streamline data entry where you often create accounts using the same list of items. From the drop-down list on the Items page you can select ...

The template function recognises subitem codes so that you may include, for example, 22012art and 22012cvp, and have them appear on the account with their appropriate descriptions.

There is also a date-offset value for each item, so that each item may use the operation date, or a specified number of days before or after the operation date. This will allow a pre-anaesthetic consultation to appear the day before the procedure. This may be particularly useful for intensive care purposes where the same set of items are used several days in a row.

NEW CATEGORY FIELD

A new 'Category' field appears on the Account Details page just below the Status field. This allows accounts to be grouped into user-defined categories. Simply type your preferred category into the field. The drop-down list box is self-updating and will show all the categories you have manually entered so they can easily be selected.

The Category field is included in the Select > Advanced dialog box so that specific categories of accounts can be viewed separately.

NEW DOCTOR'S LOG NUMBER FIELD

The PtAddr page includes a new Doctor's Log Number field to record a log number provided by the doctor. This is mainly for multiprovider practices where the doctor wants to use his own numbering system to reference the accounts (in place of or in addition to the standard Account Number field). The log number will be printed on the List of Accounts and List of Payments reports.

A search function is provided on the PtAddr page to locate a specific Drs Log Number.

'BLAND' ANAESTHESIA DESCRIPTION OPTION

Account items normally show a detailed description of anaesthesia and time items as stored in the Medicare Benefits Schedule. Version 3.9 allows you to instead show the simple phrase 'RVG Anaesthesia service' for all anaesthesia items, and the phrase 'Anaesthesia time' for all time items. No procedure details or time information is shown. This is activated by ticking the checkboxes on the Accounts Show page of the Options form.

RESTORING BACKUPS

A Restore function has been added to the Maintenance Menu to restore backup files, import satellite files or assist in importing data from another location or another computer.
