MEDICARE NUMBER SEARCH
| • | The Medicare number search will find numbers matching less than 10 digits, e.g. entering 123456789 will find 1234567890 and 1234567891. This allows finding patients whose last Medicare digit has changed. |
ACCOUNT NAVIGATION
| • | Added a search button to the List of Accounts and Payments toolbars to search any field. |
| • | When searching for an account, if the account is not in the current selection, AA automatically changes the selection to all accounts and continues searching. A brief message is given. This avoids having to click an extra dialog box, which would almost always be clicked. If the account is not found in the current selection, both accounts and estimates will be searched. |
| • | When clicking from the List of Payments to the List of Accounts or Account Details screen, if the account matching the payment is not in the list, a message was given which required clicking to dismiss. This was replaced with a message that automatically disappears after 2 seconds. This enables the CTRL F (find) function to work better from the List of Payments screen. |
| • | In the List of Payments, double clicking on the account number or name goes to that account, automatically refiltering the list of accounts if required. |
| • | When printing a list of accounts or payments, the selection criteria can be added to the notes field by clicking the button provided. |
GROUPS NAVIGATION
| • | Added a one-click Select Provider button to the List of Accounts, List of Payments, Batch payments and Daily Activity Report screens, for easy access to other doctors' files. |
| • | All provider's account prefixes are shown on the Main Menu - double click to quickly change providers. |
| • | The List of providers can be reordered by the provider's surname (assumes surname is separated by a space). |
| • | Refresh table links option added to Select Provider form. |
| • | A new method of searching for patients across multiple doctors avoids problems when there are a lot of data files. |
| • | The multiple doctor search results window includes reordering buttons on the columns. The form is also wider to show more columns, and includes the Medicare number. |
MULTIPLE DOCTOR SEARCH
| • | The Multiple Dr Search allows finding records which match 'any' or 'none' of the specified criteria, as well as 'all' the criteria. |
| • | Enter the word 'blank' as the criteria to find records with blanks in the specified field. |
| • | Accounts, estimates, or both can be searched. The search can be limited to 'Open accounts'. |
| • | One, several or all providers can be included in the search. |
| • | Added numeric operators (=, <, >) to the 'Other' field. This allows searching by e.g. Fee>300, Copayment>0 etc. |
GROUP ACCOUNTS TALLY
| • | A new listing shows a tally of all open accounts for all doctors. Go to the List of Accounts > Summary menu. |
| • | A similar tally is shown on the Eclipse Menu > Tools menu, giving the current tally of open online accounts. |
DATA ENTRY
| • | To avoid data entry delays on networked systems, the similarly-named patients list on the Patient tab can optionally show exact matches only, rather than similar matches. In Options > Data Entry > untick the checkbox labeled 'Tick to show patients..'. This will reduce the delay when exiting the first name and surname fields, and when moving between accounts. |
| • | For group practices, account messages may be created for individual doctors by entering their account subscript after the message code, e.g. MyOwn_AW, SF+_OJ. Use an underscore (_) to separate the code and prefix. This works for standard, but not repeat messages. |
| • | A message is given if an operation date of more than 3 years ago is entered (to avoid accidental DOB entry). |
| • | New field for IFC Status added, with user-defined lookup list. See Estimates for details. |
| • | On the notes page, include buttons to automatically enter the time, as well as the date. |
| • | A checkbox on the Notes page displays a prominent 'Please read notes' flag on the account. |
| • | Added a data check to warn of overlapping operation times. |
| • | Added a notes field to the addresses lookup list (separate tab) to store information about specific funds. |
| • | For Access 2007 and later, added the ability to slightly change the background colour of the data entry screen (Format page). |
PAYMENTS
| • | Notes for an individual part of a batch payment can be edited by double clicking on the Notes field. The same goes for a banked standard payment (don't need to unlock the record). The notes for a non-batch Eclipse payment still can't be edited as the ERA ID is required here. |
| • | When payments are entered, the current date and time is automatically saved in a new field called the DateRecorded. This is not shown on the screen, but can optionally be added to a custom datasheet on the List of Payments screen. |
| • | When printing a banking slip, the specified date was inserted into all unbanked payments. Modified this so that if a payment type is not to be shown on the banking slip, the date was not inserted. In this way, a 'Cash on hold' payment type, can stay unbanked indefinitely if required. |
| • | Ability to add the payment date recorded to a custom datasheet and to select payments by the date recorded. The date recorded field will only be available for payments entered after version 5.8 installed. |
| • | Payment types can be designated as Jrnl. This is to identify transactions which are neither payments nor refunds. The List of Payments, Advanced selection allows filtering by the Jrnl flag, from the Payment Type list box. Jrnl type payments do not appear in any reports unless selected in the Advanced selection box. |
| • | Added optional Rcpt Num to the Group Practice Payment Summary. |
STATUS LOG
| • | Added the current username to the Status log. |
| • | The status log for individual accounts records payment deletions, payment edits, fee changes, item additions/deletions, Eclipse claim/report deletions, account transfers. |
| • | Status log entries can no longer be deleted for accounts, but can be deleted for estimates. This is in case a user wants to generate multiple estimates from one record, and the status log becomes irrelevant. |
| • | A zoom box was added to the status log to view text that is too long for the list view (e.g. account transfer details). |
| • | The Maintenance log now records data file updates, and registration details. |
