Custom
database applications made to order |
| Development Strategy | |||
| Discuss | We discuss your requirements in detail. You may have a specific plan about how the database is to be designed and how it will work. Or you may prefer to simply describe your problem and let us work out the details for you. |
|
|
| Design | We design the database structure. We can take existing data structures (old databases, spreadsheets or even paper forms) and convert them into an efficient relational database structure using MS Access. We can convert from other systems, or simply create the database from your specificiations (or our specifications derived from your layman's description). | ||
| Develop | We develop a basic application which may provide any combination of data entry, analysis, and reporting functions. You choose. | ||
| Install | We install a prototype application to allow you to test it using fictitious data or your own data. | ||
| Modify | We modify the application based upon your testing until you are completely satisfied. | ||
| Document | This important process is often overlooked by developers and clients. Basic or comprehensive documentation can be supplied to ensure the application can be supported by us or another developer. |
|
|
| Train | We can train your users in how the application works (although we try to make our applications as self-explanatory as possible). | ||
| Maintain | We will maintain the application with technical support and provide updates as you require them. | ||

Most system development is done at our office in Randwick. We keep in touch at all times during development (email is preferred) to ensure that the client is happy with how the project is progressing. Site visits are arranged as appropriate. We usually charge for our time on a hourly basis or in some cases provide a service for an agreed fee. Call us for the current rates. You will be invoiced at regular intervals and provided with a detailed report of the stages of development and how the time was spent. | ||
