Automated Microsoft Knowledge Base |

|
Did you know that you can get any knowledge base article emailed to you upon request. Well you can. The text file, KBindex.zip contains an index of what is available. It is actually an email message I received a while ago but I've forgotten how I got it. Maybe someone can enlighten me. Anyway, all you have to do is send an email to mshelp@microsoft.com with the article number in the subject line and the article will be automatically emailed back to you. You can also request a list of all the articles in a particular category. That means you can get a list of all the Access articles if you wish. Then send an email to get the specific articles you want. Its all explained in the KBindex.txt file (if only I could remember where I got it!). Although the index instructions claimed that the articles will be sent back within minutes, mine actually took about 36 hours! Hmmm. |
