Project A randomised trial of the efficacy of a pap smear reading device compared with manual cytology in reading pap smear results. What we did Created a database to record all the data from the trial, some imported from other files and some manually entered for a total number of records upwards of 30,000. Special features
- Functions to import data from DBASE output of medical devices.
- Functions to export data to text files for archiving.
- Built a satellite system where data entry could be performed at remote locations using a system of exporting and importing selected groups of records from the main database.
- Automatic backup functions.
- Extensive data quality checking during data entry process.
