Can I install updates while Access Anaesthetics is running?

No. Most of the updates will overwrite existing files in the Access Anaesthetics folder. If the program is running, the files cannot be overwritten and the update will fail. So you should ensure that Access Anaesthetics is closed before performing any updates.

How do I install program and other updates?

Download the file to a convenient location on your hard drive such as the Desktop or My Documents. Most downloaded files are compressed using Winzip and need to be uncompressed before use. To do this, double click on the downloaded file to open the unzip window. Check that the 'Unzip to’ folder is the folder where Access Anaesthetics is installed (you may need to use the Browse button), then press the Unzip button. You will get a confirmation message when the files are unzipped. Press the close button to complete the process.

The Web Update process

Registered clients can use the built-in web update process (Maintenance Menu) to automatically update their program, items or health funds files. This can be done without going to the website, and without selecting versions. The correct version is automatically downloaded and installed with a couple of mouse clicks.
